The delegation of IAEA also visited the ANPP

amano_small On 18 April, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan received the delegation headed by Yukiya Amano the Director General of IAEA. During the meeting the issues concerning the cooperation between RA and IAEA in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy were discussed, in particular: the issues related to the continuation of coordination works for increasing the safety level of ANPP #2, technical assistance aimed at increasing its safety level and strengthening its security through physical protection. Technical assistance for decommissioning the ANPP was also discussed.

The delegation of IAEA will arrive Yerevan

On 18-19 April, 2012 the delegation headed by Yukiya Amano the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency( IAEA) will arrive to Yerevan.Yukiya Amano the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency( IAEA) will have meeting with the President of RA, the Prime Minister of RA, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of RA.
The delegation of IAEA will also visit the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant(ANPP).

Petroleum products are not transferring from Iran to Armenia

The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources informs that an agreement was obtained with the Ministry of Petroleum of the Islamic Republic of Iran on cooperation to construct a pipeline from Tabriz to Yerevan for transportation of petroleum products (oil and gasoline) from Persian Gulf to Armenia.

ANPP trust management contract was terminated prematurely

On 29th of March in Yerevan the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan and the authorized representative of Russian company "INTER RAO UES " OJSC Vadim Mityushin signed an agreement on premature termination of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant trust management contract.

Meeting with Mr. Slavtcho Neykov, Director General of the Energy Community Secretariat

On 28 March, 2012 Mr. Armen Movsisyan, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia hosted Mr. Slavtcho Neykov, the Director General of the Energy Community Secretariat. Armenia holds an Observer status in the Energy Community since October 6, 2011. During the meeting the issues of further cooperation were discussed.
