The second stage of the tender for the construction of the station "Masrik-1" has been launched

The second phase of the international competition for the construction of the Masrik-1 solar photovoltaic station has been launched. At this stage the participant who will assume the construction of the station will be determined. The main requirement for the second stage of the competition is the electricity produce tariff. The winner will be the organization or consortium that will offer the lowest price.

The second stage of the competition involves 10 companies and consortiums, which meet the pre-qualification requirements. It will be remind, the tender commission was enough to evaluate 10 out of 20 applications submitted in the first round. The participants of the second stage of the competition are well-known companies representing the Netherlands, American, Korean, German and a number of other countries. It is expected that the tender process will end in 2018. The company or consortium, which has won the tender, the station should be built in 2 years.

“Masrik-1” will be the region's largest solar power plant with 55 MW peak power. It should also be noted that based on the licenses issued by the Public Services Regulatory Commission, the construction of 12 solar photovoltaic power plants with a relatively small, up to 1 MW power supply has already started, which will have about 10 megawatts capacity.

Three of them have already been commissioned and started to supply electricity to the system.
