The Armenia's Delegation Participated in the IAEA Session

On 22-26 of September, in Vienna, took place the 58th General Conference Session of the UN Nuclear Atomic Energy Agency.

The conference was also attended by the Armenian delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of RA Areg Galstyan.

In the staff of delegation the Deputy Chairman of the State Commitee under the Government on Nuclear Safety Regulation Vanik Nersessyan, the Permanent Representative of RA in Vienna-based international organizations, the RA Ambassador to Austria Arman Kirakossyan, as well as other representatives of the sphere also participated in the Conference.

On September 23, the head of the Armenian delegation Areg Galstyan has a speech

during the General Conference.

The RA Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources touched upon the long -lasting and productive cooperation of Armenia with the IAEA in various directions.

In particular, he spoke about the increasing of the security level of Armenia's nuclear power plant's unit and direction of these events, about the construction of the new nuclear unit in Armenia, the programs realizing in Armenia jointly with the IAEA.

Within the frame of the General Conference the Armenian delegation also attended the scientific forum dedicated to the safety of radioactive waste management, as well as, has meetings with the delegations of other countries.
