The Energy Saving Measures are Inserted in the University of Economy

The Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Hayk Harutyunyan, the World Bank’s Regional Director Henry Kerali and Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Laura Taki have visited the Armenian State Economic University and have got acquainted with energy saving measures embedded in the university, which have been implemented in the framework of the Energy Efficiency by the Armenian Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund program.

 

The Rector of the University Koryun Atoyan presented the works done and noted, that due to the embedded energy saving measures the energy efficiency in the Armenian State Economic University has reached to 45.5%, thanks to which the University will save about 14.9 million AMD in a year.

These funds will be used for repayment of funds invested.

 

He also noted, that the deployment of modern and energy-efficient heating boilers, pumps and other equipment, as well as the thermal insulation of the external thermal network of buildings and increasing of  the energy efficiency has made the system more safe, secure, stable and easily manageable.

 

The comfort of the university building is also increased, which has a positive impact on the learning process.

 

The University Rector Koryun Atoyan also said, that the energy efficiency measures are fully implemented and has been controlled by the Armenian Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund.

 

Either the competitive processes, programming of the relevant professional tasks and design documentations, implementation of mounting operations, technical control, or for the first year exploitation and preservation works are coordinated and controlling by the Fund’s and it’s experts, which exempts the University from the involving of a qualified personnel for an additional activities and from the appropriate risks.
