Meeting With the Representatives of KfW Bank

On May 12, the RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Yervand Zakharyan has hosted the representatives of KfW (Reconstruction Credit Bank) Bank, the regional director of Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia Eva Witt, the regional director David Betolatsa and the  Deputy Ambassador of FRG in RA Nadia Likhtenberger and with the other representatives.

During the meeting the interlocutors have discussed the process of construction of Armenia-Georgia 400 kV power transmission line, financed by the KfW Bank. The sides have noted the importance of the program, in term of the regional integration process of energy systems.

It was highlighted the fact, that the construction of the power transmission line will significantly promote the regional mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy sector, as well as will be set up precondition for organizing the parallel working with the energy system of CIS countries.

During the meeting the sides discussed the issues of possibility of cooperation in the field of renewable energy.
