The Power Supply is Fully Recovered

On March 31, at half past 14, in all areas of the country the power supply is fully recovered.

On  March 30,  because of heavy snow and wind, about 230 provinces , especially in Gegharkunik's, Tavushe's, Gegharkunik's, Aragatsotn's, Armavir's, Vayots Dzor's  regions had been left without power. Due to professionals' round the clock work,  the power supply in residential areas and social facilities was restored in the shortest possible time.

 

Concentrated all Efforts to Restore Power Supply

Because of wet and heavy snowing and the strong wind during the night,  there were power outages  in a number of areas of the country. The settlements and social facilities have been left without power. The large number of power outages are especially in Shirak's, Lori's, Tavushe's and Gegharkunik's regions.

The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources informs, that all efforts are concentrated to recovery energy primarily in social facilities and residences. There are some difficulties, because the snow, rainfall and wind is still ongoing.

 

The President Visited the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources

ayc_small11On March 28, the President Serzh Sargsyan visited the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. The President toured a number of structural units of the Ministry’s staff, particularly,  Atomic Energy Department, Investment Projects and Capital Expenditures Department, Development Department and External Relations Department.
The President Serzh Sargsyan gօt acquainted with the Ministry’s working conditions, talked to employees about the projects being implemented, as well as about current problems. After the tour, the President held a consultation with the leadership of the Ministry.

The contract of sale and purchase of Vorotan Hydro Cascade's estate was signed

arm139100559265_smallOn January 29, at the RA Government, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan, the Vice President of American Contour Global Hydrocascade company Garry Levesley and the Director of Vorotan Hydro Cascade CJSC Sasun Khachatryan signed the estate sale and purchase agreement totaling $ 180 million. According to the contract, the Contour Global Hydrocascade company have to invest around $ 70 million for modernization and repair of Vorotan Hydro Cascade over the next 6 years.The capital investment program in advance will be discussed and agreed with the Public Services Regulatory Commission / Commission /.
