The Cooperation with INOGATE Program is Continuing

On June 11, the European Energy Community, European INOGATE program and the RA Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources joint seminar took place in Yerevan. The director-general of the European Energy Community Mr. Yanets Kopache, the deputy director of the Community Mr. Dirk Bushlen, the Technical Secretariat of the INOGATE program Ms. Lemlem Said Issan, the experts of the same program, the officials of the national governments of the RA and the representatives of the  armenian universities, international organizations operating in Armenia and of Armenia's energy sector key organizations participated in the seminar.

The President of Belarus visited the ANPP

belhaek_smallOn May 14, the delegation led by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant. The RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan presented the Armenia’s policy in the nuclear energy sector to the "guests".  Plant's director introduced the power plant’s work’s nuances and the implementation of the security measures to the audience. Belarus is building its first nuclear power plant and is interested in the great experience of Armenia in the field of nuclear energy, as well expects the support of Armenian professionals.

The Republic of Armenia and the European Union Continue Their Cooperation

On March 21st in Yerevan took place the third session of Armenia-EU PCA Sub-Committee “Energy, Nuclear Safety, Transport and Environment”. The co-chairmen were Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of RA Mr. Areg Galstyan and EEAS, Head of EaP Bilateral Division of EU Mr. John Kjaer.

Тhe Laboratory for Technical and Forensic Analysis of Nuclear and Radioactive Materials Is opened at the ANPP

 radiolab22_smallՕn January 18, the  laboratory for technical and forensic analysis of nuclear and radioactive materials was opened at the Armenian NPP. The laboratory has set up by the U.S. State Department’s founds for technical support. The laboratory has an aim to realize an analysis for the nuclear and radioactive materials. It will be possible to increase the efficiency of works against the spread of weapons of mass destruction, as well as of nuclear and radioactive materials due to this laboratory. The U.S. delegation by the leadership of the U.S. Ambassador in Armenia John Heffern, the employees of the Energy and Natural Resources and of Foreign Affairs Ministries.
